The Second International Symposium on the Andean Bear will consist of keynote speakers and oral presentations addressing Andean bear ecology, research, conservation and management issues both in situ and ex situ. 

The Admissions and Grant Committee will evaluate the submitted abstracts for oral presentation.  Abstracts accompanied by full length manuscripts will have preference for acceptance.  Abstracts and full length manuscripts can be written in Spanish or English.  Please follow the abstract and full length manuscript writing guidelines.

The deadline for  resume submission is August 15, 2008. Please send electronic submissions as attached files to:

Notifications of acceptance will be notified to the main presenting author by September 01, 2008.

Abstracts should be no longer than 2 pages, using Times New Roman Font, font size 12, with margins set at 2.54 cm (1 inch), top, bottom and sides.

Please label the heading in this order: 

Title: Title should be in upper case

List of Authors: indicate presenting author with asterisk (*) 

Author affiliations: agency or university

Address: Mailing address , email, phone of the presenting author
