Mission Accomplished!
Thanks to all of our participants for a great workshop!

Workshop Highlights
The 10th Western Black Bear Workshop was hosted by the Nevada Department of Wildlife on May 18-21 of 2009 in Reno, Nevada at the beautiful Peppermill Hotel & Resort.

It was the intent of the 10th WBBW committee to create an atmosphere that encouraged communication among managers and researchers, and left attendees with an enhanced knowledge of black and brown bear issues facing Western North America. The agenda included topics such as new management techniques, human dimensions and population ecology. Workshops included Human-Bear Conflict, Animal Safety and Handling, and Monitoring with Genetics.
